PeakHour 6.0 · Beta 11
Build 61931
A History-focused update: connection outages now stand out on the graphs, two time ranges return, and PeakHour Remote gains reverse-proxy support alongside several refinements.
New
- History now marks real connection outages as labelled bands on the graph — and tells them apart from neutral "no data" gaps when your Mac was simply asleep or PeakHour was closed, so you can see at a glance when your connection was actually down.
- Two History time ranges are back: "Last 3 Days" and a "Custom…" date range that persists across restarts.
- The History window header now shows the period you're viewing (e.g. "Last 24 Hours") as a pill, so the current range is always clear.
- Per-monitor Totals counters can once again reset automatically on a schedule — pick a day of the month (or every day) and a time, independently for each monitor.
Improved
- PeakHour Remote now works behind HTTPS reverse proxies such as Tailscale Serve, Caddy, and nginx — the web app makes same-origin requests instead of a hardcoded http:// address, so it no longer breaks on mixed content.
- PeakHour Remote's dashboard now shows your Mac's Ethernet link speed (e.g. "Ethernet · 1 Gb/s"), matching the native app.
- PeakHour Remote no longer refuses to start when LAN access is enabled without a password — it shows a clear warning instead of blocking, so single-window browser shells that can't present a login still work.
- The History chart's floating toolbar now appears only when the pointer is near the top of the window, keeping it out of the way while you read the graph.
Fixed
- Fixed the bandwidth readout over-reporting by roughly 1000× on near-idle cellular/LTE links when using bits units (e.g. showing "530 Kb/s" instead of "0.5 Kb/s").
- Fixed the "This Mac" bandwidth graph showing far too little history — a diagonal "no data" hatch could fill much of the timeline after launch.
